Aquinnah, MA – Immediately after the ceremony some heavy cloud cover and fog rolled in to create this wonderfully soft blanket of light for the portraits. And compared to the ceremony, with the bright sun and blue sky, these images look like they were taken on a completely different day. As wedding photographers we don’t mind the clouds during mid-day portraits as it softens the light and it’s more comfortable for the couple.
At this point in the day the Lighthouse did open up to the public again so we had to maneuver around some tourists, which is sort of an interesting challenge for wedding photographers. As the bride and groom were walking down the path, I grabbed a quick shot of some strangers admiring the beautiful couple as they walked by. Seriously, society is a sucker for a newlywed couple. It’s so predictable and awesome at the same time. After we worked the cliff and the lighthouse it was time to head back to the car, which in this case was the vintage Cadillac Leanne and Dan arranged for transportation. And off back to the Beach Plum Inn…
