A Gorgeous New England Estate Wedding

Waltham, MA – An elegant and historic property, The Lyman Estate was a wonderful backdrop to Julie and Scott’s wedding and reception. This National Historic Landmark was built in 1793 and has been wonderfully preserved and is currently used exclusively for weddings and other functions. As wedding photographers, we relish the opportunity to work at such a picturesque venue.

This was a very beautiful wedding with so many colors and details. The flowers, provided by Sarah’s Garden of Newton, MA, were unique and completely fitting to the event that we plan on doing a special blog post just on their work. We feel pretty lucky to have been chosen as Julie and Scott’s photographers. The best part of our job is witnessing two incredibly warm and genuine people joining hands and committing themselves to each other. Congratulations to Julie + Scott!

So Much Fun At This Wedding Reception Photo Booth

Here’s a look at some serious fun had by Julie + Scott’s Wedding guests. The popularity and effectiveness of the wedding photo booth varies slightly for every event. This was one of those rockin’ receptions where everyone was having a blast and really loved the photo booth. This event reaffirmed our commitment to this product; this is gonna stay around for a while.

Wedding Crashers or Unexpected Entertainment

Winchester, MA – This is a small vignette from  Lisa + Gabe’s wedding at the Griffin Museum of Photography. Their full wedding will hit the blog roll in a bit, but I didn’t want this story to get lost.

So about 5 minutes after the bride arrives at the venue we can hear and see a marching band and football team coming down from the center of Winchester. And it didn’t take long to realize that they were coming right down Shore Rd. and would pass by the museum on the way. The excitement was pretty overwhelming! Especially when the bride says “They’re even wearing my wedding colors!” Of course we were going to get them involved in some photos!

As wedding photographers we’re always expecting the unexpected, but something on this level of surprise is rare and we’re so happy we caught it. This was a great ice breaker to begin the wedding,  I wish I could order homecoming parades for all of our weddings :)

Congrats to Lisa + Gabe! More to come!

Jake | 2 year old portraits | Mini-Session

On- Location | Mini-Session

Leominster, MA – This was Jake’s 2 year old portraits which were shot on-location at his family’s home. He had the opportunity to show us around, play with his favorite toys and basically just be himself; absolutely perfect for a child this age. We had a lot of fun hanging on this family photography session and hope to see Jake and his family real soon.

Mini-Sessions work out to be about 20 minutes of shooting with a client preview gallery of about 12 – 15 images. These sessions work best when you are just looking for a few images without any outfit changes.
