Rachel + Joe’s Rock the Dress in Lodi, CA
Lodi, CA - A photographer’s dream consists of a dynamic location, beautiful light, and of course, eager and responsive subjects. This session had it all, from Rachel’s choice of cowboy boots to the Farmall tractor to the broken down pick-up truck all the way to that gorgeous California light. With temperatures pushing triple digits all that week we need to give major credit for the resolve of Joe and Rachel who were pretty much game for anything we wanted to do that evening.
We couldn’t have asked for a better Rock the Dress session, thanks to you Rachel and Joe!

Knights Ferry, CA – During our fabulous California adventure we had the pleasure of photographing Kari and Dean’s beautiful family at this really great location. Don’t get me wrong, we love living in New England and being outside of Boston we have the opportunity to shoot at some magnificent locations, but the power and quality of the California light is unparalleled. However, it didn’t take much to make these guys look good.
An old mining town during the gold rush, Knights Ferry is now a museum and recreation area, and it is home to the longest covered bridge in California. Overall it was a perfect backdrop for these family portraits, and we hope to be back in the future.

Clarksburg, CA – Our recent California adventure had been set in motion in August of 2008 when Kendra and Justin invited us to photograph their wedding in Northern California. Being New England based photographers we were thrilled to have this opportunity. The venue they chose, The Old Sugar Mill, could not have been more of a photographers dream. It is an old beet sugar refinery, that has been renovated and now houses the Carvalho Winery. The property holds some beautiful barrell rooms where wine tastings are available to the public, but this property also has some old, beat up, yet to be renovated parts that will make any photographer’s head explode with its unlimited potential. The stark contrast between the new and old add such character and make this one of the most unique wedding venues we’ve ever seen.
As you can imagine we had a great time photographing this wedding, and we’d like to thank Kendra + Justin and their families, and the Carvalho family as well for allowing us to work unobtrusively throughout the day.
Great people, Great Venue, Great Wedding!
Congrats to Kendra and Justin! And we hope to see you soon!
