Have you thought about a session at your home?
We offer location sessions for family and kids portraits, and something that has been very popular lately has been at home sessions. What better place to capture the family atmosphere than at home? We bring some lighting and enjoy using the interior and exterior space to create these portraits. Another plus is that you don’t have to pack up the kiddos, and if you need a wardrobe change, your closets are right there! So think about using some areas of your home’s interior or exterior for your next family shoot.
This little darling is always a pleasure to photograph. Those big blue eyes are just so captivating! You might remember her from the Studio Session we posted on the blog last year. And this past Fall, the family invited us to their home to photograph the fam and we had a fantastic time. At home sessions allow the child to be in their own atmosphere and it definitely creates a comfort level that is unparalleled to any other location. Let’s face it, at about three years old, most kids are going to be bouncing all over the place anyway, so we might as well keep them happy at home, where they can show us their favorite toys and let them show you around the house. It’s a great way to engage their own interests and so much fun!

Crunch Crunch Crunch… sounds like a family portrait session in the fall!
Rutland, MA – So, why can’t we have 30 weeks a year like we have in mid-October? If we did, as New Englanders we would probably find some way for it to annoy us. Our Winter is too long, our Spring shows up once every couple years, our Summer is humid, but our Fall, that’s when we step out into the air and relish the time of year. It’s also a very popular time for family photos! Here’s just a few of our favorites from our yearly session with the Jones family!
These photos were taken at a very empty Rutland State Park in Rutland, MA.

6 Month Old Ella in the Studio
Lowell, MA – We met Ella awhile back for her 3 month old portraits and as you can see she got even cuter for her 6 month portraits. While photographing babies and families over the course of months and years we really get to see them grow. It’s always a little surprising when we see them again because we’ve been looking at their photos for months but they have always seem to have grown more than we expected. Also, we get to witness the big changes like sitting up, taking the first steps, and of course new expressions and mannerisms. Just one of the perks of the job we love
