“We should have ordered two…”
Lowell, MA - Here’s a look at a recently delivered, client wedding album with a silk brocade cover and leather binding. These flush mounted wedding albums are by far our most popular and are so impressive to present. When you consider that a large population of brides and grooms today are looking exclusively for digital media, it makes you wonder if they’ve ever held and looked through an album like this one. As soon as we received it from the lab we knew we should have ordered two! After writing this post, we just might.
Our deliver of this album was arranged to coincide with a huge family dinner, which was immediately put on hold when we arrived. Needless to say it was a hit, which always makes us feel good. One of the perks of this profession is that quite often we are confronted with intense appreciation for the work we do, and it’s moments like this that put the job of wedding photographer completely into perspective.
Our most popular cover upgrade
There’s just something about the photo under the acrylic that is incredibly attractive to our brides and grooms. Images look particularly crisp under the clear sheet of acrylic and in choosing the cover photo, the bride and groom have another way to create an album that is unique to them. We’ve created more than a few of these for our clients this past year, and we are considering making it our signature presentation piece for the studio.

New Album Smell
On a recent hand delivery of a wedding album, Ashley and I both witnessed an interesting reaction during the unveiling. Jessie kept repeating, “I love the smell, seriously, I love it.” Of course she loved the images, the design and the two tone cover with the photo cut out as well, but the smell of the leather really had a positive affect on the presentation. It was the first we had received that reaction, but we didn’t mind, as long as the word “love” was in there we were o.k. with that. Her husband Brian agreed on the pleasing aroma, as a good husband should.
This particular album is a flush mount wedding album, meaning that the layouts are designed digitally, then printed on photo paper and mounted to the pages. This allows for unlimited layout options and designs, and also allow the book to lay flush when opened. We feel that the album should reflect the bride and groom and the feel of their wedding. And if you get lucky yours will smell real good too.
