Castle Hill on The Crane Estate

Ipswich, MA - Steven and Sevi originally wanted to have their engagement photos taken at the college where they met in Swampscott, MA. Unfortunately we had some issues with access to that particular property, so we decided to travel a few miles north to Castle Hill at the Crane Estate in Ipswich, MA. This was probably the best decision we made because it turned out perfectly. With it’s completely unique setting, The Crane Estate offers a variety of different opportunities for an engagement session. We’ve blogged about this property before with Carol and Paul’s wedding.

With no one else around on this beautiful June afternoon, the four of us walked around Castle Hill like we owned the place. As New England based wedding and portrait photographers, we dream of shooting on properties such as this with it’s history and grandeur. Given the opportunity, we could have photographed these two love birds for hours and hours, but luckily for them there is only so much light in a day! All in all we had a great time photographing this engagement session and can’t wait to make it back.

Congratulations to Sevi + Steve!!!

On- Location | Mini-Session

Leominster, MA – This was Jake’s 2 year old portraits which were shot on-location at his family’s home. He had the opportunity to show us around, play with his favorite toys and basically just be himself; absolutely perfect for a child this age. We had a lot of fun hanging on this family photography session and hope to see Jake and his family real soon.

Mini-Sessions work out to be about 20 minutes of shooting with a client preview gallery of about 12 – 15 images. These sessions work best when you are just looking for a few images without any outfit changes.

A Mount Auburn Wedding

Cambridge, MA – On the first Satuday in June, Joe + Colleen were married at the Bigelow Chapel in the famous Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, MA. Mount Auburn is National Landmark and  a very interesting venue for a wedding. The bride and groom wanted a small and unique wedding ceremony and this chapel was absolutely perfect for them. Congratulations to Joe + Colleen!!!

Moments Happen

Danvers, MA – In the hours before the ceremony, the anticipation of marriage will begin to show itself. There’s a lot of human emotion at hand which can be found in the laughter and tears of joy. However, most of the time it is a subtle action, expression or body language that can tell the whole story. As wedding photographers, we’re invited into the situation with the bride and groom so we can attempt to capture this special time of their day. Getting meaningful pictures of the anticipation will set the tone for the wedding picture story and it is always a very exciting time to photograph.
