Boston, MA - As an engagement session idea, Erin and Brendon, wanted to take a walk around Commonwealth Avenue in Boston and eventually end up at the Esplanade. It was a perfect late Summer evening for a walk around the city. Plus, you can be anywhere in Boston and fine amazing spots for portraits, but the Comm Ave area was definitely special for Erin and Brendon. That’s what we like… when our couples feel some passion about their engagement portrait location. It allows them to get in the moment a bit quicker and warm up to the camera as well.

Ashland, MA – Matt + Lisa were married at the The Warren Conference Center & Inn on a beautiful Sprint evening in Massachusetts. This was a super fun wedding, not only because the venue was fantastic, but because the people were even more fantastic. The bride and groom are so much fun to work with and as you can imagine so are their friends and family. Wedding photography is an enjoyable career when you can surround yourself with people that love to laugh. I think at one point Matt + Lisa and Ashley and I decided we’re all going to be friends “in real life.” This is actually in our business plan, to turn all of our wedding couples into friends… and it’s working!

Mid-Winter Boston Common Engagement Session

Boston, MA – So our whole plan was to go skating at the frog pond to capture some candid moments and have Mark and Mandy all warmed up for some portraits. Well, what we didn’t anticipate was that it was one of the coldest days in January and a 45 minute wait just to get on the ice… YIKES! So, as you can imagine, without a proper warm up in single degree weather our super couple was a bit cold for the shoot, but they braved through it and we ended up getting some great stuff. Just looking at the images you wouldn’t think it was well below freezing out. Even though we didn’t get a whole engagement session in that day, we all had fun and certainly had something to laugh about in the future. And of course, Mark got to wear his Boston Bruins sweater for some pictures, which made his day!

Engagement sessions are such a good bonding experience between a couple and their photographers. We had  already had the opportunity to get to know Mark and Mandy a bit from photographing a wedding in October where they were both in the wedding party; but it was great to have the 2 on 2 time build that relationship up a bit. Because although we are in the business of photography, we’re also in the business of making people smile and that’s key to our photography. And for us, watching young people in love, laughing, braving the elements for the sake of pictures is really inspiring to us.

A Beautiful November Wedding

Haverhill, MA – On a gorgeous November day, Shiva and Andrew were married at the Holy Apostles Church with the reception being held at the Merrimack Valley Golf Club in Methuen, MA. And in case you missed the last one, we really love Greek weddings. As wedding photographers, we are usually somewhat restricted when photographing in a church… not a Greek Orthodox wedding! It is pretty incredible how certain cultures really embrace the power of photography. We’re invited right up to the alter and allowed to get as close as we can, without disrupting the sanctity of the ceremony of course. This makes for great opportunities for story telling.

As far the bride and groom, it’s hard to imagine two people more perfect for each other. This job brings us in such close proximity to true love… it’s not hard to be continually inspired by it.

Just gotta love a Greek wedding!

Haverhill, MA – Greek weddings are full of tradition, dancing and money flying everywhere. What’s not to love?

This was a perfectly gorgeous September wedding at the Holy Apostles Church in Haverhill, MA. We enjoy photographing Greek Orthodox weddings because there is always a deep sense of ceremony and family. This leads to tremendous opportunities for us as wedding photographers. John and Jessy chose DiBurro’s for there reception and everything went off without a hitch. DiBurro’s does a great job at taking excellent care of the guests and wedding party. After the formalities the reception just went crazy with traditional  dancing. So much fun and that’s another reason to love these weddings! Stay tuned for the photo booth from this wedding!

A Gorgeous New England Estate Wedding

Waltham, MA – An elegant and historic property, The Lyman Estate was a wonderful backdrop to Julie and Scott’s wedding and reception. This National Historic Landmark was built in 1793 and has been wonderfully preserved and is currently used exclusively for weddings and other functions. As wedding photographers, we relish the opportunity to work at such a picturesque venue.

This was a very beautiful wedding with so many colors and details. The flowers, provided by Sarah’s Garden of Newton, MA, were unique and completely fitting to the event that we plan on doing a special blog post just on their work. We feel pretty lucky to have been chosen as Julie and Scott’s photographers. The best part of our job is witnessing two incredibly warm and genuine people joining hands and committing themselves to each other. Congratulations to Julie + Scott!

It was wonderful to see that and we were so happy to photograph their wedding!
